Yon-Gae is named after a famous general during the Koguryo Dynasty, Yon Gae Somoon.

Start: Stand at X facing North.

Ready Stance: Step left foot toward West into parallel ready warrior stance with left fist at right hip (thumb upward) and right flat palm in front of left fist.

  1. Step left foot toward North into left  back stance toward North, with left low reverse knife hand guarding block performed in circular motion.
  2. Step left foot outward toward North into left front stance toward North, with right high punch.
  3. Step left foot backward toward South into right back stance toward North, with right middle guarding block.
  4. Jump and spin clockwise 360 degrees into right back stance toward North, with right high knife horizontal knife hand strike.
  5. Step right foot backward beside left foot, step left foot backward toward South into right back stance, with right high X fist block.
  6. Step right foot outward toward North into right front stance, with right high flat spear hand thrust.
  7. Step right foot inward toward North into right back stance, with right downward elbow strike.
  8. Jump toward North into left X stance toward North, with left high back fist strike.
  9. Step right foot toward South into left front stance toward North, with right low outer forearm knife hand block
  10. Step right foot toward North into parallel stance toward North, with left middle hooking palm block..
  11. Execute right middle punch.
  12. Step left foot toward South into right back stances toward North, with right low reverse knife hand guarding block performed in circular motion.
  13. Step right foot outward toward North into right front stance toward North, with left high punch.

  15. Jump and spin counter clockwise 360 degrees into left back stance toward North, with left high knife horizontal knife hand strike.

  46. Step left foot outward toward North into left front stance, with right low inner forearm reverse knife hand block while pulling left fist to right shoulder.
