Kiyup. Organizations have different places in the pattern at which a kiyup is required. Insert a kiyup at places where your organization requires one to be used.

Start: Stand at X facing North.

Attention and Bow: As per your school's procedures.

Ready Stance: Step left foot toward West into parallel ready stance with double low fists.

  1. Turn 90° left into left back stance, with left middle double knife-hand guarding block.
  2. Step into right front stance, with right middle fore-fist punch.
  3. Turn 180° right into right back stance, with left middle double knife-hand guarding.
  4. Step into left front stance, with left middle fore-fist punch.
  5. Turn 90° left into left front stance, with left low inner-forearm block.
  6. Step into right front stance, with right middle fore-fist punch.
  7. Step into left front stance, with left middle fore-fist punch.
  8. Step into right front stance, with right middle fore-fist punch.
  9. Turn 270° left into left back stance, with left high twin forearm block.
  10. Step into right front stance, with right middle fore-fist punch.
  11. Turn 180° right into right back stance, with right high twin-forearm block.
  12. Step into left front stance, with left middle fore-fist punch.
  13. Turn 90° left into left back stance, with left low inner-forearm block.
