Ki-bon

Ki-bon is a form used by Taekwondo America to familiarize beginning students with performing forms before they begin learning the traditional Taekwondo forms. It replaces the traditional beginning form "Chon-ji."

Start: Stand at X facing North.
Attention and Bow: As per your school's procedures.
Ready Stance: Step left foot toward West into parallel ready stance with double low fists
- Turn 90° left into left front stance, with left low outer-forearm block
- Step forward into right front stance, with right middle fore-fist punch
- Turn 180° right into right front stance, with right low outer-forearm block
- Step forward into left front stance, with left middle fore-fist punch
- Turn 90° left into left back stance, with left middle inner-forearm block
- Step forward into right front stance, with right middle fore-fist punch
- Step forward into left front stance, with left high outer-forearm block
- Execute right reverse punch and Kiyup!
- Turn 180° right into right back stance, with right middle inner-forearm block
- Step forward into left front stance, with left middle fore-fist punch
- Step forward into right front stance, with right high outer-forearm block
- Execute left reverse punch and Kiyup!
- Turn 270° left into left sitting stance, with left high outward inverted-knife-hand strike
- Pull left foot back to right foot, step right foot toward right into right sitting stance, with right high outward inverted-knife-hand strike
Ready Stance: Step left foot toward West into parallel ready stance with double low fists
