Block Techniques Wedge Block |

Movement: One fist opens and hand grips other fist. Forearms angle outward at a 45° angle so arms are in shape of a wedge. Arms are thrust upward wedging the two attacking arms apart.
Contact: Contact is made using tops of forearms.
Position: Arms finish in same wedge shape as in the beginning.
Used: Used against twin high straight arm attacks.
Variations
Twin Fists: Instead of one fist gripping the other, both fists are used side-by-side. Not as strong a block as with gripped fist.
Example: Use to block a two-handed front choke.
